History

Background of the Event

The Matwalli Syed Baqir Ali Bokhari’s father, the late Syed Khadam Hussain Bokhari-a true believer of Allah, in late 60’s decided to build an Imam Bargh-a place for the Zikir(the preachings&teachings) of the great and beloved son of the Holy Prophet(Peace Be upon Him), Hazrat Imam Hussain(A.S) on this planet earth. Also through his special pledge to Hazrat Imam Hussain(A.S) that he wanted to make such a place of the Imam(A.S) to preach and teach Imam’s great human sacrifices for this planet earth, who was desirous of complete peace and tranquility for the humans of this world and the hereafter(Akharat). The Imam Bargh name was suggested as “Qasare Hussain” by the late founder, Syed Khadum Hussain.
Somehow, after arranging necessary finance he planned to search out a suitable place in Lahore- Punjab- Pakistan, and met with a renowned Azadar(the staunch preacher of Imam Hussain A.S) namely late Syed Ali Hussain Naqvi-a renowned personality of Lahore, who advised Syed Khadum Hussain to construct the proposed Imam Bargh in the vicinity of Tohkar Niaz Beig, Lahore being a rich area of Momineens. Thus Syed Khadum agreed and visited the proposed area for his final go-head. In the mean time the second son of the late Syed Khadum Hussain namely Syed Hassan Askari accompanied by his late Mrs. namely, Rafiq Bokhari requested their father, Khadum Hussain, that they were interested that the proposed Imam Bargh be made on their property measuring 4950 sq.ft(22 Marlas) purchased in Rs.3870/-located at Darogawala, Lahore. Thus Hassan Askari not only endowed (Waqaf) his property orally but also gave a written Waqaf Nama dated 1/02/1971.Thus the father accepted the request of his son in the name of Allah (SWT), and thus Syed Khadum Hussain purchased another 18Marlas(4050 sq.ft) of land adjacent to his son endowed plot and started the construction of the Imam Bargh main halls on the Askari endowed land and the other accessories including the Matwalli residence on his 18Marlasd as shown in the Map, in 1971. Thus the late Syed Khadum Hussain became the founder and first Matwalli of the Imam Bargh-Qasar-e-Hussain, and the Azadari continued till the doomed day, May 19, 2008.
Sadly, on 19th May 2008, the same Imam Bargah was attacked by the anti Ahle-e-Bait elements/ hooligans in collusion with Hassan Askari and his sons as per the Contract dated 07/06/2007 signed with the land mafia, and thus they vocally desecrated and demolished the Imam Bargh adjoining areas/ buildings containing Langar Khanas, sitting areas, washrooms, Tazia places, Matwalli residence, ladies Matam areas etc. The remaining area was saved with the help of the Almighty Allah. Since then the matters are in the various courts of Lahore and the Imam Bargh is closed. Unfortunately, the hooligans looted and plundered all the valuable and sacred articles from there. Ironically, Hassan Askari got declared his real brother Syed Baqir Ali, the Matwalli, his tenant from a local court in a ex-parte decree; and also got declared Imam Bargh 4950 sq.ft(22 Marlas) as his rented property through that so called contract with the land mafia, just to satiate his worldly greed. Curse upon them who have done this unbelievableHaram-fobidden- act, and we all pray for their early Hell entry. We also all pray for the reconstruction of the Imam Bargah. All Momineens of the world are requested to admonish this Haram Act and also pray for Imam Bargah Qasar-e-Hussain’s early restoration of its lost grandiosity.
